Masako Nosawa "My goal is for Dragon Ball Super to reach 700 episodes"!

Dragon Ball Super, the latest installment of Toei Animation's long-running Dragon Ball anime franchise that has over 770 episodes in total, started airing in Japan in July 2015, and will reach its 100th episode this Sunday, July 23.

In celebration of the memorial epsidoe, 80-year-old Masako Nozawa, who is voicing Son Goku and his two sons, posted her comment on the anime's official Japanese website. She has been voicing the protagonist character since the first TV anime Dragon Ball in 1986.

"We hit 100 episodes in the blink of an eye! I was shocked when I heard about it! At this rate, we’ll probably reach 200 episodes in another eye-blink! Lately I’ve been receiving messages at my house from fans almost daily; it makes me so happy.

Even when I’m out walking, people often tell me, “I watch the show each week” or “It’s so interesting”. My goal is for Dragon Ball Super to reach 700 episodes (7 for the number of Dragon Balls), so all you fans, please keep cheering me on."
