One Punch Man Illustrator Shows His Versions of Dragon Ball Characters

One Punch Man Illustrator Yusuke Murata doesn’t attempt to hide his adoration of Dragon Ball. Taking a break from drawing the likes of Genos and Saitama, over the last few days Murata has shared some of his takes on Dragon Ball characters, including Goku, Krillin, and some of Dragon Ball Super’s Gods of Destruction.

On Murata’s Twitter you can see Beerus, Vegeta, Goku, Android 18, Krillin, Gohan, Whis, Vados, and more. Murata has shown love for Dragon Ball in the past, creating anniversary sketches for the series. Ever humble, Murata doesn’t feel like his work matches that of Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama.

In a live stream, Murata had this to say.

“If its drawn too detailed, it won’t match Toriyama-sensei’s style, I’ll have to stop at some point. My kids love Dragon Ball too. I’ll bring a copy back after I completed it, and tell him daddy drew Dragon Ball. It’s truly amazing that people from all generations watch Dragon Ball. I messed up on Goku’s face every time, feels like something’s wrong with it. I tried my best to replicate Toriyama-sensei’s style, and I’m still able to feel how awesome he is. Still feeling that I’m not drawing it good enough.”

Take a look at Murata’s awesome takes on the classic Dragon Ball designs from Toriyama on Twitter.
